Met Daniel, the Manatee. He was found as a pup with one lung full of water. The people here took care of him and now he's a 280 kg bull who loves humans, especially the ladies. He swims freely in the laguna Guerrero but he never really leaves to the connecting sea or lagoons. A truly amazing animal, closest relative to the elephant.

Our main purpose for stopping in Bend was to visit Beaver Coach Sales. They are the go to guys for our particular make of motorhome. We had a list of about a dozen items that we've accumulated since we bought it 8 months ago. BCS fixed everything and we were charged a very reasonable price. Great folks here.

The drive to Texas was worth it! After looking at and inspecting this 2005 Beaver Monterey motorhome, we decided to purchase it. This will be our new home on wheels for the foreseeable future.
This was taken after an epic 5 hour ascent the the frozen Lake of Laguna De Los Tres at the base of Mt Fitzroy in El Chalten.
