Max is working on chapter 6 of his book.

Writing his book has become a favourite activity for Max. We laughed when we read that the main character's name is Roussillon (Mèze is located in Languedoc Roussillon part of France).

Max and Angus in front of the Roman Arena in Verona.

We had just spent the evening on a train between Naples and Verona. We got off the train at 6:30 am and dropped our bags off at the hotel but couldn't check in until 2 pm. The hotel was about 15 minutes from the city centre so we set out in search of coffee. This was our next stop. Minutes after this picture was taken, we all grabbed a park bench for a quick snooze...all except Angus who spent the time cutting his toenails. Fortunately, the square was not very busy so the Clarkes not-so-stellar arrival was not seen by many. We rallied, did some touring and then fell into our hotel room for further napping and clothes washing.
