Route 66

Chester Lewis built the Wigwam Motel in 1950. It was based on Frank Redford's design. It closed in 1974 when I-40 opened and bypassed Route 66. The Lewis family re-opened Wigwam Motel in 1988 and still operate it.

Route 66

The 15 wigwams, not teepees are decorated in the 1950s style. No modern updates. There are still 3 Wigwam Villages open from the original 7. 2 are on historic 66. Cars from the 40s-50s displayed on the property.
