The best time to visit Bromo is during the month of August where the sky is less cloudy. Mount Bromo is the one spewing white sulphuric smoke. Mont Semeru is in the distant background, while the first volcano is Mount Batok.
Dieng Plateu, is a marshy plateau that forms the floor of a caldera complex on the Dieng active volcano complex near Wonosobo, Central Java, Indonesia. Referred to as "Dieng" by Indonesians, it sits at 2,000m above sea level far from major population centres. The name "Dieng" comes from Di Hyang which means "Abode of the Gods".
The Raja Ampat, or “Four Kings,” archipelago encompasses more than 9.8 million acres of land and sea off the northwestern tip of Indonesia’s West Papua Province. Located in the Coral Triangle, the heart of the world’s coral reef biodiversity, the seas around Raja Ampat possibly hold the richest variety of species in the world.
Flying above the tree tops on the approach into Malinau, East Kalimantan. Quite unspoilt rain forests round here which is nice to see.
The Cairngorm mountains are a remote wilderness area of the Scottish Highlands containing the second highest peak in the British Isles; Ben Macdui. The photo shows the peak of Cairngorm from the approach to the summit of Macdui.
