This photo taken of the longer side of the bridge that connects the Ile de la Cite island to the Right bank of the River Seine shows the clean river going beneath the amazing designs of the bridge.
The Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge in Paris which crosses over to the Ile de la Cite island in the middle of the River Seine and then to the other bank, this photo being taken of the shorter section of the two to show the sculptures and design work which has gone into the bridge.
In this photo taken on the Pont Neuf you can see one of the ornate lamp posts which run along the bridge edge with a plaque beneath it with the River Seine being seen in the background.
This shorter section of the Pont Neuf bridge spans from the Ile de la Cite island, where this photo was taken, to the left bank of the River Seine, giving an insight to the great view you can see while crossing the oldest bridge in Paris.
There are numerous jutted out parts on the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris, known as Askew Piers, allowing people to sit down and relax, the areas once being a popular place to meet when the bridge first opened.
