Olympic Forest

When building the Olympic Park, the city decided to create a greenspace with all the land that they had to move. The result is a really great inner city get away that makes you feel as though you really are in the forest.

Dogs

Dogs seem to be common pets in Beijing. Residents have to get a permit for them and only small dogs are allowed. Bigger dogs require more money to keep and pet food is very expensive. Most dogs are off their leash and are even dressed up against the cold.

On my own

We had a group tour of the park and then lunch. Afterwards, no one wanted to stay to see the park at night, so I was on my own for the next 4+ hours.
