This is the entrance to Westminster Abbey, across the street from the Houses of Parliament in Parliament Square. It is being renovated.
You can see the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey.
This bridge links Parliament Square with the London Eye. Behind my dad, Annie and me is the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
The detailing on this building is exquisite. We stood in front and just stared at it.
Imagine the whole building covered in this kind of detailing! Amazing workmanship.
They say the best shot is when you get two clock faces. Big Ben is actually the name of the bell in the clocktower. Big Ben is on one end of the Houses of Parliament.
The statue is on one side of the Houses of Parliament, facing Westminster Abbey.
You can see all of the work that's being done to give this attractive, albeit timeworn, structure a facelift.

Whenever there is a flag over the Houses of Parliament, it signifies that Parliament is in session, as it was when we took this picture.
Taken from our tour bus, so it's not great quality, but it shows you the size and majesty of Westminster Abbey.
