A thirsty moment in the tropics

Desparate for drink Bill climbed to the top of a huge palm tree, kicked the largest coconut out of the bunch , jumped to the beach below and chewed the top off with his historically sharp ensisors to get at the precious milk nectar within.

Acrocorinth II

Hohenzollern Castle,Germany

Hohenzollern Castle is in the south of Germany and was the ancestral seat of the kings of Prussia and German Emperors. It is the highest point for miles around and is distinctive on the horizon approaching from any direction. The hill has been occupied for centuries, but the present castle was rebuilt in the early 1800s. It is still owned jointly by the heads of the Prussian and Swabian royal families.

Volissos,Italy

Volissos is the largest and most important village of the northern (less travelled and discovered) part of the island of Hios. There you can find some fine examples of traditional architecture, a castle above the village and one of the best guest houses in Greece. You also have at your disposal more than 10 km of beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters only 2 km far from the village.
