These are at the Edgar I. Brown Homestead in South Dakota. It is the only prairie dog town with white prairie dogs!
This is actually the main house that the Browns lived in. It was built in 1909 and they lived there until about 1936. A Mr. Carr then lived there until 1949.
Notice the Sod Walls, wood stove and milk jugs
This is the wall to separate the bedroom. The logs are cottonwood, a common tree in the Prairie.
I don't recall if this was the Chicken Coop or the 'Cave', used to store food.
I think this is a bathtub with a wood heater feature.
