The Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra is where Australia's elite athletes train. There are lots of sports represented.
On display is a mock up of an Apollo space capsule. NASA used MC for practice before going to the moon.

Wandering around the new-ish shed they built in Rocket Park at Space Center Houston. Badly-needed shelter for these relics of the early space age. Anyway, this guy's shirt amused me.
One example out of many for people inducted into the Space Hall of Fame. All inducties have similar plaques lining the ramps in the Museum.
There are a number of exhibits showing parts of rockets or space craft. This one is an Apollo Fuel Cell that converted Hydrogen and Oxygen into electricity and water.
Mom is heading up the steps towards the Museum. It is located on a hill above the city of Alamogordo and can be seen from quite a distance.
The White Sands dunes extend for 275 square miles. You can get an idea of the extent of these from this shot from across the basin.
This system was first used in 1973 to control up to two targets on the missile test range.
