Replaced Belle Tout which was often in fog. It was constructed in 1902 using cable cars.
String of chalk cliffs and dry valleys where the South Downs fall into the English Channel.
Found loads of them above Alfriston in Sussex. Larva feeds on greater bird's foot trefoil. Flies are around for July and August.

This is part of the remains of a petrified forest off Bulverhythe between Hastings and Bexhill. In 1749 a Dutch vessel, the Amsterdam, hit the forest during a storm and sank. Care should be taken to consult tide timetables before attempting to reach either of these features.
