Yes, we are in there somewhere!
Trust me, this is not the only picture on the rafting trip that features Tara smiling.
This is not the time I actually fell in the water, but I was pretty close here too.
What an action shot!
Tara and I celebrate a successful rapid - there were close to 40 rapids on this stretch!
I can jump from waterfalls, zipline through the clouds, and yet suspension bridges still scare me. :)
Here I am jumping off this waterfall in Montezuma from 30+ feet above the water!
Here is a sampling of the cloud forest in Monteverde.
Enjoying our beachfront hotel in Montezuma. It is our honeymoon too, you know ;)
This is Francisco, the coffee farmer from the cooperative in Monteverde that we toured. He has been farming coffee on his land for over 50 years and does everything organically. Banana trees provide shade and nutrients and other plants are grown to minimize pests.
Here we are in front of a smaller waterfall in Monteverde. No one was jumping from this one :)
This was a beautiful overlook of the ocean on our walk home from the waterfalls in Montezuma
Here is Tara ziplining through the cloud forest in a canopy tour in Monteverde. The longest one was over 2000 feet across and 450 feet high!
Don't tell Ellie and Bolder, but Tara has been finding many cats to socialize with along the way. This one was in our hostel in Monteverde. Tara wore ear plugs, but I got to hear it meowing all night trying to get back in!
This was our ferry to Puntarenas on our way to Montezuma. We took a speed boat back across to save time, but our rear ends are still too sore to sit and we were too scared to get the camera out for a photo... we saved half a day of travel though :)
Tara is enjoying her book in the hammock on our beach front hotel in Montezuma. I was worried she would have a permanent rope tattoo on her back as much time as she spent in that thing!
Tara enjoys the view from the overlook in the cloud forest. They don't call it that for nothing - as we found out on this day.
