This is Francisco, the coffee farmer from the cooperative in Monteverde that we toured. He has been farming coffee on his land for over 50 years and does everything organically. Banana trees provide shade and nutrients and other plants are grown to minimize pests.

Don't tell Ellie and Bolder, but Tara has been finding many cats to socialize with along the way. This one was in our hostel in Monteverde. Tara wore ear plugs, but I got to hear it meowing all night trying to get back in!

This was our ferry to Puntarenas on our way to Montezuma. We took a speed boat back across to save time, but our rear ends are still too sore to sit and we were too scared to get the camera out for a photo... we saved half a day of travel though :)
