Today is 22 Bahman 1386 coincide with February 11, 2008 with marks the 29th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. This day brings remembrance of the fact that the will of a nation can change the course of history, of a time when one nation stood up for its rights and would not be intimidated into accepting tyranny of Shah any longer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_Iranian_Islamic_revolution http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=42539§ionid=3510304 http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.php?nn=8611220410 http://www.ahmadinejad.ir/ .
Laughter is good for you. It is a very powerful force that positively affects the whole body. The breath released during a hearty laugh has been clocked at speeds as fast as 170 miles per hour. Laughter stimulates the brain, the nervous system, the respiratory system, the hormonal system, and the muscular system. Numerous studies show that it lowers blood pressure, lightens depression, increases muscle flexion, can reduce allergy symptoms, strengthens the immune system, and reduces stress! http://www.laughteryoga.org/index.php http://www.blueridgespirit.com/Articles/laughter_let_it_out.htm http://www.holistic-online.com/Humor_Therapy/humor_therapy_benefits.htm http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=51918 http://www.fotocommunity.com/pc/pc/mypics/842948/display/8947296
NASA, WATCH OUT, they are coming! This is the cover of main Iranian National Newspapers which published today. After few years hard working, Iranian Aeronautics and Space Administration (IASA) managed to launch the first rocket into space to mark the opening of its first space center under the name of Kavoshgar on Monday, 4th Feb 2008 at 12:25pm. Few could not believe, but then many others were happy and proud of this first success program. Apparently IASA plans to launch the Omid Satellite, a Remote-Sensing Satellites in June 2008. http://www.space-travel.com/reports/Iran_opens_its_first_space_centre_riling_the_US_999.html http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=41713§ionid=351020101 http://www.redorbit.com/news/business/1240731/iran_to_launch_omid_satellite_in_june_08_to_build/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASA
It is winter in Iran. So if you travel to this beautiful country, you will see these street sellers selling hot beet root on the spot. Just careful not to burn your tongue!
In harmony with the rebirth of nature, the Iranian New Year Celebration, or NOROOZ, always begins on the first day of spring. Norooz ceremonies are symbolic representations of two ancient concepts - the End and the Rebirth; or Good and Evil. The origins of Norooz are unknown, but they go back several thousand years predating the Achaemenian Dynasty. The ancient Iranians had a festival called "Farvardgan" which lasted ten days, and took place at the end of the solar year. It appears that this was a festival of sorrow and mourning, signifying the end of life while the festival of Norooz, at the beginning of spring signified rebirth, and was a time of great joy and celebration. I CONGRATULATE TO ALL IRANIAN PEOPLE ANYWHERE AROUND THIS MOTHER EARTH. ((Fara Residane Norooz-e Baztani Ra Be Shoma Va Khanevadeh Gerami Tabrik Gofteh Va Sali Pur As Salamati Va Shadkami Barayetan Arezoomandam.)) I HOPE IN THIS NEW YEAR [ 1387 ], YOU WILL HAVE A BEAUTIFUL PEACEFUL LIFE WITH GOOD HEALTH AND LOTS OF SUCCESS. EID-e Shoma Mubarak =================================== Tonite is 28th Esfand 1386 (18th March 2008). It is ChaharShanabeh Sori, where these days, young people spent their money for exploding small firecrackers for fun! I remember when I was younger, we had a peaceful ChaharShanabeh Sori without having fears of any casualties. ANYHOW, I perfered to stay with my dear computer and design a Eid card for the Iranian New Year. If you are curious to know, it took me almost 7 hours PS works with creating 27 layers! I should mention my computer crashed down twice which I had to re-do the works again.
There is NOT any customer’s right protection in Iran. Therefore many traders, technicians, companies treat customers based on lies and more lies ! These young people suppose to be as plumber worked for only 7.5 hours during 3 days and charged more than 360,000 Tomans ($400) for repairing a broken water pipe in one of my relative in Tehran. After few days the water was still running thru the walls. My relative called them for more than a month to visit her place and repair the water pipes. Each time they brought different excuses or empty promises and still there is damp every where. Because there is not any law enforcement in protecting the poor customers, then almost every technician get advantage from the system and make a big hat for poor customers. The proverb, “As must ke bar must!” means that we can not blame America or any other countries for our bad fortune! We should blame ourselves. http://www.ephotozine.com/u30254/gallery/766415 http://www.ephotozine.com/u30254/gallery/767481 http://www.ephotozine.com/u30254/gallery/773856 http://www.ephotozine.com/u30254/gallery/772144
Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking. During Ramadan, every part of the body must be restrained. The tongue must be restrained from backbiting and gossip. The eyes must restrain themselves from looking at unlawful things. The hand must not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. The ears must refrain from listening to idle talk or obscene words. The feet must refrain from going to sinful places. In such a way, every part of the body observes the fast. Therefore, fasting is not merely physical, but is rather the total commitment of the person's body and soul to the spirit of the fast. Ramadan is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one's self on the worship of God. So, what makes Iranian different..... ? Mr Ali Adhami, the board of directors in the Iran-Ecotour’s website says: "We guarantee well- equipped, selectively catered, safe and eco- friendly trips." http://www.ecotour-iran.com/about_new.htm On 10 August 2007, I took my mother and her friend on EcoTour’s one day trekking trip to Kondelus Village. Unfortunately the company hired a mini-bus driver who was not familiar with the road to Chaloos that has a series of dangerous winding sections and tunnels. As a result, the bus driver hit the wall of Tunnel No 6. As a result of the resulting huge impact, my mother fell over and was badly injured, she suffered shock of accident and injuries to her foot. My mother needed financial assistance for medical treatment, but Ecotours told us they would pay nothing towards the cost as all the expenses would be paid for by the driver’s Third Party Insurance. This contradicts what Ecotours have told passengers that whoever travels with them is insured for 1,000,000 tomans for hospital, doctors’ expenses. I feel that they contradict themselves because they try to escape from their responsibility toward my mother and myself and other passengers. Since 10/08/07, NOBODY from Iran-EcoTour Company (Dr Houman Jowkar, Dr Houshang Ziaie, Dr Bijan Farhang Darreh-shouri, Mr Ali Adhami), and tour leaders (Mr Mohamad Manzarnejad, Mrs Azadeh Jouhari, Mr Ali Islam) has contacted my mother by any means and asked her how she was! i.e.-Was she alive or dead ! Apparently one of the EcoTour's director cares more about Iranian Cheetah rather than take care of my old injured & traumatized mother!! I wonder what Iran-Ecotour's response would be if my mother had been a foreign tourist traveling with them? Do you think it would be different?

Conservation of the Asiatic Cheetah ! When conservation of the ( http://cheetah.irandoe.org/news/index.html )Asiatic Cheetah is far important than saving the life of an old lady who was injured by the Ecotour's one day trip. <BR> Dr Houshang Ziaie is one of the directors of EcoTour-Iran who is more interested in saving the Iranian cheetah while ignore the plead of an injured traumatized old lady who suppose to be my mother !!!!! http://www.passionforpixels.com/albums/albus29/EcoTour_2.jpg Unprofessional Reputed Iranian Nature Tour Company The EcoTour company (Eco Expert Ltd) in Tehran, Iran is an eco tourism nature company. Here in Tehran the capital of Iran, sometimes would be difficult to choose where you would like to go. The reason is, there are so many attractions all around that with having a limited time, almost would be very difficult to choose ! Here I had a choice between Sa'di Street, Pole Choubi street, Nofel Loshato street, Babi Sandz Street, Engelab Street, Ferdosi Square. Then I guess I chose the Ferdosi Square. Please don't ask me why ?
So you are a woman and would like to go around the town very safely or do not want other passangers (men) touching your body with their bodies, then use the 'Women's Taxi'. Please note that I did NOT change the telephone number of this image, so if you would like to visit Iran, then simply call 1821. By the way I am NOT advertising them here, just would be an informative image for those ladies who love to travel with peace in their mind.
