Zorra!

This small fox surprised when it showed up hunting in the Tikal park. I watched it for 10-15 minutes with no one else around before it finally scampered off.

El templo de la plaza mayor

The main square in Tikal is aligned wig the cup of the Big Dipper. This temple is in the process of being recovered and restored.

La tarantula

Our guide surprised us by bringing over a tarantula and offered to let anyone who wanted hold it. I was the first to volunteer (only 2 of us did) but I zipped up my rain jacket and tightened down the sleeves first!

Las ruinas

From a height of several hundred meters, we could see various temples rising out of the jungle. Although the pictures may not have turned out, the view through the mist was gorgeous.
