Front totem at SNHP commonly call 'totem park'. The museum contains many Russian & Tlingit artifacts and exhibits. The park preserves the historic site of the 'Battle of Sitka' in 1804. Many fine totems line the walking trail as well.
One of the totem poles by the Museum. You can walk the trail in 'Totem Park' for free. Locals do that everyday. Many fine examples of Tlingit & Haida totem poles are along the trail.

Whale Park has Chief Kyan totem pole on display. Carved by Israel Shotridge in 1993 to replaces the original that was erected in the 1890s.
The Totem Heritage Center houses a priceless collection of 19th century totem poles. Most were from Tlingit village at Tongass Island & Village Island in the 1970s..
