A farmer from Bago in Myanmar proudly poses for me outside his home next to his buffalo cart. He was awaiting the annual rains to begin so he could plough the ground with his buffalo and plant his rice seeds.

Some of the details which are found on the Arc de Triomphe are sometimes missed, but as can be seen in this photo you can start to appreciate how much work was put into the structure, from the borders to the detailed yet small lion head statues.
This statue, known as Le Paix de 1815, was made to represent the peace after the treaty of Paris in the year 1815 and can be found on a column of the Arc de Triomphe.

The Luxor Obelisk is the oldest monument in Paris, which dates back over 3000 years and has hieroglyphics over each side as it stands within Place de la Concorde. To see more go to www.eutouring.com/images_paris_tourist_attractions.html

Here you can see the wide road that goes around Place de la Concorde as well as some of the buildings which surround it, giving a lovely feel to the already impressive square.
This photo shows a shot taken down the Allée du Canal, showing the clear water and the various bridges over on a clear day.

In another panoramic shot of the Tuilleries Gardens you can see one of the large water basins with a water fountain in the middle and many of the locals and tourists alike relaxing around it on a bright summers day.
