Tree ripped up in Manila

This large tree was ripped out of the ground by the force of the typhoon that hit Manila. It blocked the main road until the following day when the clear-up effort started.

Some trees crashed down on the empty childrens playground in the typhoon. The kids were content with a new playground made out of the trees.

Tree blocks main road in Manila

Being caught up in the typhoon was a new experience for me. It wasn't as bad as I had imagined but it left a trail of destruction and some lives were lost in the devastation. The winds reached 130 kph in Manila and people took shelter where they could find it.
