The first day of spring in NY with heavy snowfall.
When our guide sees snowmobiles or another coach pulled over it is a good bet there is something worth a photo.

Brad told us about a visitor that jumped into the hot water at Lower Geyser Basin to save his dog. He died from his burns, the dog survived because of his thick fur. They are not kidding about staying on the boardwalk.
Lower Geyser Basin was next up after leaving Madison. Brad told us about the geothermal features for about 45 minutes.

Midway Geyser basin. Next stop after Lower Geyser Basin. Sun came out and started warming up.
Second day, Madison rest area. Our snow coach and another type. Ours had tank treads, they are trying oversized tires, back van. Tires on a van is cheaper to operate than tank style treads.
Alpine Guides uses much older snow cats. Several people in WY told us Buffalo Bus Company had much newer and more comfortable
snow coaches. Price was the same, so we went with BBC.

Canyon Visitor Center. This is your lunch stop when touring Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. No food available, bring your own. Take your trash back to the van. No trash cans during the winter.
Alpine Guides cater to serious photographers. Expensive cameras & lenses with this group.
