Yosemite Valley is picture perfect with El Capitan on one side and Half Dome on the other. Best view is just before you get into the valley to see the whole panorama.
The highest of the Sunrise Lakes is surrounded by beautiful greenery and flowering meadows. Many come there from the Tenaya Lake, despite the steep path they have to conquer.
Meadows with flowering plans can be found throughout the Yosemite Park, this time we came across a meadow with amazing view of the Cathedral Rock.
Lower Cathedral Lake is surrounded by exposed granite at one side and trees on the other, making it an ideal ground to enjoy a relaxing break with stunning views.
Fires are common in the Yosemite Park and grasses and hedges are generally quick to recover, with tree stumps being a longer term reminder of the damage. This was the landscape we drove through to the Yosemite village.

Views around the Soda Springs are far reaching due to the meadows and river surrounding this area.
Despite the not too strenuous level of the Lambert Dome walk, the views from the peak are spectacular.
Horse riding tours of various length are on offer in Tuolumne Meadows and Yosemite Village alike. Booking in advance is recommended, especially for the morning and midday slots.
