I was mezmorized by the thunderstorm coming into the sacred Batu caves.
The brand spankin' new 141 foot high statue to Lord Magruda was unveiled in January this year to much fanfare. The govt. of Malaysia would like to enter it into the Guiness Book of Records as the largest statue to Magruda in the world.
Snoozing in my clothes with the light on after a long day of travel. Kuala Lumpur, note the shik prison style hostel room. It was far from luxurious, but at $2 per night who could argue.
Sitoki, Kini, Sitoki Jr. and Tui all held a small traditional ceremony to see me off after my time in the village.
This was my table where I ate and ate and ate. The view and the food were to die for, but the ammount I had to eat to be polite made me a bit sick.
This shot was taken on my "sunset cruise" which ammounted to being paddled out to open water in large swells in a shaky canoe by my young friends. The view was worth it, but it would not have passed any safety regulation in the US.

This was the center and focal point for the village- The rugby field and Methodist Church.
