We were docked in Fort Lauderdale and were up before sunrise to prepare for disembarkation. Doreen went out on our balcony and saw that the QE2 was berthed next to us. She grabbed her point-and-shoot digital camera to take a picture but I warned her that it was still before sunrise, and she would need a tripod because of the long exposure. She of course ignored my advice, took her photo, and came up with this beautiful image of the QE2 gleaming in the dawn light.
There is a great little restaurant at Turner Beach that features a lobster lunch. While we were waiting for ours, I grabbed this image of our friends. Amazingly, every one who knows these people recoginized their silhouettes immediately!
You can travel thousands of miles and discover images that could be made almost anywhere. This beautiful pattern of stairs was in Barbados.
When I saw this scene, it had the appearance of a movie set - some fantasy by the sea. In reality, these people were selling T-shirts at Turner Beach in Antigua
