This is about as close as we got to the Louvre. By chance would have it the Louvre was closed on the only day we could go!!!
This would have to be the highlight of our French visit. Such a majestic and beautiful palace..but at the same time you can understand why there was a revolution in this country!! This photo does not do it justice!
Here we are leaving Dover for our crossing to France. A very, very cold day!! A good shot though
This is the actual blade which chopped off the head of Marie-Antoinette! Very cool indeed!
Here is Mike proposing to Princess Diana...just look at the look on her face!! quite funny!! (mikey: She wouldn't even answer me!)
Here is Mike with Lou and Andy of Little Britain at Madame Tussauds
This was a really interesting exhibit. What you can see are pills - the exhibit spans the life of an average male and female in terms of the medication they take over a life time - rather morbid really!
This is a picture of a real live dead person! There are so many dead people at the museum that it felt like that was the theme of the day!! Quite gross really (but interesting at the same time)
This is where Ann Boleyn and other people of that time were beheaded!
Yes, this is someone's washing at the Tower of London - people actually live there!
Here is Traitors Gate at Tower of London
Mike with a guard at St James Square.
This is obviously the Tower Bridge in London, not much else to say really.
This is one photo we had to capture!! Shame it wasn't 7's all in a row, but bloody close!!! It paid US$13 for that spin!!
This was a free for all pokie machine...it is called the Midas Touch but as you can see Mikey didn't quite have that kind of touch that night!!! We wouldn't be coming home otherwise!! ;-)
Thats right there is a museum (four floors of it) dedicated to M&M Chocolates. Anyway here is the selection of M&Ms you can help yourself to (you have to pay for them of course!!!) Love the photo that is why we have included it! (Mikey took it)
Here is what I think is the coolest casino in Vegas....it has a big roller coaster going around and through each of the buildings
Here is where we stayed in Las Vegas. A pretty cool place, but next time it is definitely Bellagio!!
This is a pretty cool shot of the Ball outside Paris Casino, Las Vegas
Here is a photo of Mike with his aunty and cousin in the Fremont Street Experience in Vegas
We had just found a tiara on the pavement outside the Bellagio Casino so had to swipe it and create a photo opportunity! Its plastic of course!!! (mikey: It had flashy lights, had to pick it up!!!)
Here is a fountain (obviously) outside the Caesar's Palace Forum Shops in the Strip.
As you can see...a friendly game of Chess in the centre of Christchurch (mikey: knew it wouldn't take long, shouldn't have taken out that life insurance policy)
Romance Mikey style! This is on the private beach at Awaroa Lodge where mikey went exploring while I stayed in bed! Isn't he sweet!!
A mountain range up towards the top of the South Island. If you look real close you may be able to see snow! The only snow we have seen the entire trip!
