Driving the MCEL taxi in Maputo after my Manic Mission Africa: 10 weeks in 10 countries.
8 of them, tied to the bicycle, which is on a ferry crossing the mighty Zambezi River! The chickens don't seem that perturbed, as they have the uncanny ability to twist their necks upright.
Prawns and Portuguese Bread Rolls, as seen by delayed blue coaster bus transport (Qatar Airways) passengers!
I lost that cap soon after I took the picture!
Live Chickens were running around the place. It took 6 hours to get from Mbale to Kampala!
I eventually found this Sikh outfit in Nairobi. They gave me two of them plus turbans! For Free!
The Mzungu works from a safe distance - snapping away at the excited kids, with a snow capped Kilimanjaro for a view.
A welcoming gift from 1 of over 50 kids who greeted us when we arrived half way up Mount Kilimanjaro - in our car!
I got my friend a 40% discount on his Manicure. Afterwards, he played tennis while getting stoned in between sets! It didn't help that he wasn't wearing shoes either!
Northern Mozambique, still raw and undiscovered!
This is one of over 3,000 donkeys on Lamu Island. It is their only transport besides the 1 Land Rover (belonging to the District Commisioner) and 2 motorbikes (the post office's)
Peponi Beach, Northern Tanzania (South of Tanga).
Pemba Island (North of Zanzibar) We drove this trashed bike for 6 hours in mud, and only fell once!
