After a serious ass kicking after being SUPER stuck, we enjoyed the scenery on the point at Conejo before heading off to La Paz and Mike's place.
Yeah, my poor decision led to a severely stuck rig. It doesn't look like it, but we are in the shit all the way up to the axels. After our second time stuck, we learned a few tricks, and expect this to not happen again!
This is the road that wrecked our shit! We decided to take an extended descanso at Mike's because of the damage that occured. Bummer!
This sunset was the highlight of El Tomotal. The fishing village was interesting, but the waves were SUPER small at Punta Rosarito, but had potential if the swell was bigger to be epic!
Blanketed in fog, but a pretty nice wave. We didn't paddle on this one, as it was pretty much breaking on the rocks
We didn't stop to see it, but we thought it was worth a photo
We spent many late nights working on the rig. The intense sun during the day would force us to work later at night...only because we are such white-asses!
We did LOADS of work on the rig while at Mike's. Re-secured the tie-downs, new shocks on the truck, got all the lights working, reinforced the bed of the truck, worked on the refrigerator (without any luck), changed the oil, etc, etc, etc.
We finally got around to doing some board repair while at Mike's place. He was nice enough to help us with some lighting on our final night in town!
Just another beautiful sunrise in La Ventana! I woke to these every morning for over a week...didn't even miss one!
The more time I have Desperado, and the more incredible spots I find to camp, the more I appreciate this mode of travel.
