I love this sign.
We had a hard time catching this group. Evidently Dunkin has made himself king of the herd and they all tended to follow him. He didn't know how to be herded, though, and liked moving back and forth across the road, and the cattle would just follow him wherever.
We took this from our last trail ride in the hills in Montana.
An evening ride
Soldier's a 12-year-old horse who would really listen to me, except for that snacking along the trail thing. He was very responsive and moved quickly when I "told" him to do something. Scott took this one.
We had a long ride on this day, about 10 miles. Daddy thoroughly enjoyed himself, and Hank answered any questions we had, and then told us stuff that we didn't know. He was a solemn, but fun guy.
On the big hill (one of many) near the western side of the ranch.
We had to cut them one or two at a time to have them checked for pink eye. Hank told me to stop being so aggressive and running them too hard, like Papa did when we were little and liked to run his cows. But they liked my riding and gave me the best horse in the stable, Soldier.
