only the seagulls are the real survivors here. look, they look calm and relaxed in this heavy and chill wind.
i m not dare to think of walking on these stones. the wind is blowing as strong as it could. as these stones, they have been here since beginning. i can imagine the hardness of them.
we did not see the famous seals. but the view at the end of the island was spectacular.
we were told this land we are standing on was the bottom of the ocean 20 million years ago. in fact, these stones were one part of the seabed. i think it just because the nature wants show us the ocean is a great artist, who are sculpturing these 12 brothers.
at another side of the sunshine, they look more realistic. the small stones laying in the water are the wreckage of one of their brothers fell down last summer.
they look strong and firm. but the ocean tide is destroying them day by day...
almost spent whole day. we reached the home of these 12 giant stones. in the sunshine, they look like a legend.
finally, the sun gave us a smile. we visited the harbor bridge again. this time, we had a much closer look.
beauty is not influenced by the raining weather. it blooms at the best charm and wilts in the silence.
a classic view of the harbor bridge.
the opera house - the focus of all in sydney. even it was dimming weather, but there were still a lot of visitors around.
the x'mas day was cloudy and raining. but the x'mas eve was still fulfilled with lights, singing and joy - the first x'mas spent at darling harbor, sydney in 2006.
passing by over our heads - this giant looks such proudy and fierce...
i dont know the name of this flower. but it just looks like a sun. in fact, it is really like sun for the whole garden - brighten the view of each by-pass.
i found the bushes at the car park of the first lookout. looking it from far away, just like a cute decoration for our house...
at the corner of the first lookout, i saw there are some welcome guardians...or just some creative aritist trying to make the boring fence more romatic at this steep adge of the cliff of valley?!
the garden is for spring. so the lives inside all look sleepy in this time of autumn. but still we caught the spot of beauty, they look beautiful and peaceful and i believe they are a family!
