one of the largest Eastern Orthodox churches in the world
Set up in the mountains of the Bulgarian countryside. Unfortunately no pictures allowed inside.
There are a 7 monasteries in total around these incredible towering masses of rock.
Quite impressive. It was started in the 1st century AD but it was too difficult to finish at the time. In ancient times they actually used to pull the boats up over this hill to get it from the Gulf of Corinth to the Agean Sea.
I got to celebrate easter with her and my two cousins

How Cliche! pigeons flying in Europe, I have let myself down...The old town is filled with a plethora of beautiful little hidden side streets.
For centuries it was the largest enclosed space in the world. Unfortunately my camera wasn't good enough to capture the entirety of the interior with the limited lighting. It has been both a cathedral and a mosque.
Istanbul
the new building in the background has large fan blades in between the two towers that when moved by wind will supposedly power over 30% of the buildlings energy (I can't remember if it even may have been more). I like the idea but am skeptical how well it will work.

The local guides from the Gibbon Experience had a pet monkey and he loved to pick through the hair on my arms and head to look for lice, as if I was another monkey.
