One of many beer tents at Oktoberfest! These tents are enourmous and there is a live band in the middle. Germans party well by singing and dancing to old German songs. By the end of the night people are on the tables. Its great fun!
This guy selected a few people to do a little dance. Linda & I were selected, we learned the easy steps but the music slowly starts to speed up & it gets harder and harder to keep up (especially after a few wines and shots). We tried real hard though and everyone cheered when we finished.
We had this great entertainer in our tent with an accordian. Everyone sang and danced on the tables and the floor! He really got everyone going. We sang along even though we didn't know the words. You just can't help it!
Mom, Nichole, Linda and Sandy went in search of wine. Which is hard to find at Oktoberfest since its all about beer. We managed to find one though and we think we had the most fun tent in the whole place. We laughed, ate, sang with all those Germans and they all loved us back. Was a great time.
Nichole, Linda and Rachel enjoying the beautiful sunny afternoon at Oktoberfest.
David and I with our friends Hans & Christa at Oktoberfest. We met them at the station and they took us to Oktoberfest, we couldn't have done it without them! We met them this past August in Idaho at Craters of the Moon. They live in Reichertshausen about 30 miles from Munich.
Teams of large Clydesdales pull these kegs around at Oktoberfest.
These mugs are very heavy without beer in them, with beer in them its even heavier. We watched in awe as one waitress carried out 10 of these at the same time to the table next to us!
Inside shot of the church as you walk in. Its the most spectacular building you have ever seen. The picture does not do it justice. The stained glass windows are stunning too.
This amazing cathedral took over 600 years to build! It has the most ornate details everywhere. Absolutely stunning inside and out! A must see if you go to Prague!

We just starting lining them up!
There was a festival going on when we arrived in Salzburg in the Main Plaza. So we joined in the festivities with beer, wine and shots!

The food at Oktoberfest is equally as wonderful as the beer and wine! We had this amazing selection of cheeses and bread pretzels. ps-the pretzels are to die for at Oktoberfest!
