On the Pacific coast just west of Santiago is the beach town of Viña del Mar
Our lodging at the park was situated on Lago Pahoe with amazing views and amazing weather.
Rob, Dave and Larry hiked below the Cuernos into French Valley
The National Park feels very remote- no paved roads and very little traffic.
Huge ranches line the shores of the sound where cattle and sheep are raised - these are occasionally open to accomodate guests.
The trees in Patagonia are mangled by the wind and as a result of this and the shallow soil have very short lives.
From a boat on the sound viewing the mountains and glaciers that rise around it.
The view at sunrise from our room at Remota looking out over Last Hope Sound toward Puerto Natales.
You can see the Moon in this one though :)
After driving over the Andes for the third time in less than a month we finally found some good weather and loads of opportunities for photos. One of the most beautiful drives of the trip, so far.
