Rio de Janeiro - Chopin and Sugar Loaf

Inaugurated in 1944, the statue of Fryderyk Chopin (2,50 meters high), by Polish artist Augusto Sambynsky, was given to Rio by the Polish Community. Located at the mouth of Guanabara Bay, it stands close to famous Sugar Loaf (396 meters high), one of the city's main landmarks.
