Lantau Island

Amid the spectacular mountain scenery of Ngong Ping Plateau, one finds the world's largest, seated, outdoor, bronze Buddha statue. After a 268-steps hike for an up-close view of 34 metres tall and 250 tonnes Big Buddha, we adjourned to the nearby Po Lin monastery for a yummy vegetarian meal.
