Kommoskaya Station

This is one of the really grand stations (I think I've spelt the name wrong). I found the subway quite daunting at first as all the signs are written in Russian cyrillic small type - there is no English translation, nor can anyone speak even a spattering of our language, unless you happen to randomly come across someone who can (rare). There are dozens of police and uniformed people strutting around the endless, dimly light marble corridors. I kept getting lost, getting off at wrong stations and wandering about stupidly. Then suddenly I got it and was soon moving about like a Muscovite, albeit one who couldn't speak, read or understand Russian.
