Gopane Road

Very few people own cars here, this is a typical vehicle, constructed from salvaged car chassis. The load is firewood gathered from the "veld" used for cooking fuel. I imagine scenes like this in the inevidentable post-cheap fuel society. Having grown up in L.A. the jacaranda trees, oleander, bottle brush succulents and many other SA plants make me feel at home.
