Day 53 - Careening Info

Before dry docks, boat hulls had to be repaired by leaning the boat on it's side. This was very dangerous and placed a lot of stress on the hull. The USS Constitution was the first ship that used Dry Dock 1 in Charleston Naval Yard for repairs.
