A Malay chap I walked with for some of the ascent. Fantastic view of the mountain behind, including a structure they call the Donkey's Ears!
Me cooking Drunken Noodles which involved getting the fat very hot and then throwing in a ladle of water. Don't think I'll be doing this one at home, not without the fire brigade on standby!
Baskets and ropes used for the collection of bird's nests
A Tiger leech - yuk!!!
A rare giant Three-Horned Rhino Beetle, found in the grounds of our hostel but being kept in a box and fed bread to show tourists. Poor thing. The 20 ringget coin is about the same size as the 10p, so you get an idea of their size!
The Western Tarsier, the smallest primate in the world at just 6 inches tall!
Male Proboscis Monkey, endemic to Borneo and very odd-looking with it's bulbous nose and pot belly.
