Finally we arrived at the Guadalupe Mountains where tomorrow we'll tour the 2 national parks in these mountains: Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mts. NP.
We walked through the Fallen Giant and only had to duck a few times.
The curves there were milder than in previous NPs and brought us every-changing colors and formations of mountain rock.
At day's end, we were ever so glad to be traveling on down the flat Central Valley farmland on a straight interstate! And then nature gave us one more gift: a greenish glow to the giant sunset looking west toward the Californai Coastal Range!
Green shrubs more predominant than cacti
The mind is boggled to see beautiful green trees seemingly growing through rock!
