Resting in the laps of Himalayas, Pokhara lies at an altitude of more than 800 meter from sea level. Pokhara, lying in the central part of Nepal, is about 200 km west of Kathmandu and can be reached by plane in 35 minutes or in 6 hours by bus. Few places in the world might have a splendid variety of natural beauty crammed into one small area like the valley of Pokhara.
