Absolutely magnificent! Unfortunately i wont be heading that far north, flying in to Beijing then its all south from there! Will of course keep it in mind! Do you travel with a slr?

Mike, this is Changbai Shan (Changbai Mountain) in the NW of China, right on the North Korean border - certainly a great destination if you are planning a trip to China.
