Ha Long Bay : Featured photos taken in Vietnam

Most people take a 1-3 day tour in Halong Bay. I strongly recommend the 3 day. You sleep one night in a hotel on a big island. The other night you sleep on the boat. The room in the boat can be stifling hot, we ended up sleeping on the roof deck, under the stars. Be careful when purchasing your ticket in Hanoi. People pay from $30US - $80US. They claim that there are different boats and different quality of food depending on the price you pay. Not true. Whatever you pay, it is the same boat and the same food despite what it may seem from the pictures they show you. Stand your ground and only pay around $40US (total for the 3day 2 night trip). The the tour is very unorganized but it is worth it. Spectacular views and beautiful sunset on the boat. When swimming, be careful of the jellyfish! Some of the people swim, I was too chicken of the jellyfish!
