The Berawan tribe of Loagan Bunut in Miri, Sarawak grow hill padi as a subsistence crop. Traditionally, the women do the planting and harvesting which ends with a colourful event Gawi - the harvest festival in May...It is of feasting, drinks (tuak) and dancing all night through!
