"Its not how many years you live in your life, but how much life you live in your years" -Unknown-
There comes a time in one's life where it just hits you - this is life. Your life not as defined by your job, by the car you drive, or the neighbourhood you live in - the only thing that defines life is you and the life you put into living!
In 2009 I graduated with my Marketing Diploma. After working a couple jobs I began marketing for a large restaurant chain, and well, lets just say that whale went belly up from my perspective.
During that time I had thought what I wanted was to settle down, so I bought a new car and was hoping to get a mortgage, etc, etc. The typical mentality we are force fed throughout school.
However, In June 2010 I had a major life epiphany in the blink of an eye. Life hit me like a bullet to the head - I finally figured out what it is that I REALLY wanted! I had always had dreams of being able to touch the pyramids, sail the nile, climb the Andes to Macchu Picchu, and experience cultures in challenging and dynamic ways to broaden my horizon.
The urge to experience life in a new and exciting way completely called out to me and I can't imagine not making the decision to begin my journey!
So I deicided to let go of all my physical possesions less some art, clothes, and my car to travel while I stay in Canada. I got a remote camp job working up north that provided me with the means to be able to do this. So I have officially been a gypsy living out of the trunk of my car for over a year, and it has been an amazing experience
In oct 2011 I am going to begin my journey backpacking, beginning by hitchiking with my parents south thru the US and then going on my own into mexico and then onward to Central and South America! Well who knows what will happen after that!
Hiking, Camping (random), skiing, reading, art, politics, history, socializing and meeting new people, enjoying nature, stimulating my palette, travelling, road trips, dancing, music, and of course random experiences life throws my way :)
Laying underneath the stars away from light pollution, the Grand Canyon, the desert, the mountain wilderness of Canada, British Columbia, Vancouver, the Prairies
