You don't have to give BIG to make a difference, you just have to GIVE!
Shirt Off My Back [SOMB] is a national photography campaign promoting donations and volunteer support to local low-income and homeless service providers.
SOMB began in October of 2009 through the homeless service work of local Atlanta community members. SOMB offers the unique opportunity for supporters to get involved on their terms.
Clothing is a simple, but vital need. Our old clothing has the power to help someone feel good about how they look, dress to impress at a job interview and even save the life of someone living on the streets.
Through our 2011 Winter/Fall Donation Tour, SOMB members will travel to 15 major U.S. cities with the highest poverty rates. Working with local service providers and community organizations in each city, SOMB will host photo shoots and organize massive donation drives, bringing our local Atlanta impact NATIONAL through photos, videos and a travel blog.
*Our planned funding is through a $25K grant from the December 2010 Pepsi Refresh Everything Contest.
