I'm 25 atm and at a point in my life where staying in my hometown is just not enough for me anymore. I like to travel and experience new and different cultures, as well as meet people and form new friendships. I enjoy working so sometimes my trips consist of working holidays in being easier to handle money and meet locals! I guess I'm pretty independent.
I am looking into a WHV for Ireland in Sept 2014 and I'm pretty excited about it! With my first stop there, it'll be an easy break into Europe, somewhere I've always wanted to see! Anyone who is doing the same or can give me any tips would be so helpful!
I'm pretty easy-going, enjoy being social whether it be seeing a band at a local pub, or hanging out around parks on a nice day. not into adrenaline sports or anything like that (skydiving, bungee jumping).
I enjoy staying active, so to have resources around me is a plus (gyms, parks, trails, hiking).
I'm into the arts & entertainment as well. Coming from a small town, there's plenty of that kind of stuff happening all year round.
I've spent a year in NZ (2009-10) on a WHV and met some pretty awesome people who I am still pretty close with. In fall 2013, I took a small break to the Caribbean, which I would not recommend if you are single female. I was fine but did not feel completely safe being by myself. Try and get someone to go with you! From time to time, if I can afford it, I take off for mini trips from work. I live pretty close to Alaska, which is a nice quick getaway and a beautiful state!
