May 25 - Fourmagnac. A fêteful day.
May 25 - Fourmagnac to Cardaillac
Ya just gotta go to a vide-grenier in Cardaillc. Sometimes it just is genetically driven.
Ya don't go until you have woke, coffeed, showered, dressed then skipped breakfast because you are going to buy pastries.
Then you arrive at the vide-grenier to rummage through somebody’s price-tagged junk. Occasionally you decide to buy it. Haggle if you must but really, haggling is gauche. IMHO.
A couple of goodies were purchased. Some for grandchildren, some for others.
Beautiful Cardaillac clouds.

Guess what this is. you will have no id.... what’s that?

Oh you are correct, it is a yarn winder. How did you know?
Weep lobb er tarts:

At Cardiallc the vide-grenier extended to the edge of the town’s “jardin medieval” which was pleasant to wander through as plants had name tags. As a psychomologist i finally got to meet the real St John's Wort in person, hypericum sp.i Also got a couple of ideas related to weaving long thin branches into something rural and useful.
Finally, St John’s Wort, a tool of trade, in the real:

We like the rural entwining of branches to form barriers in garden beds.

Then back to Fourgmagnac and immediately onto Fons for the local Fete au Printemps. Yes, the town Is ‘Fons’. Then we decided to have a fêteful day. Off to Fons; a nearby town, a small town but with enough people to support a school and a community fete. We arrived a littel early just as the action was starting and parents and grandies were ambling and kiddos were scrambling and playing and it just felt good.
We succumbed easily to a bière and discovered that some towns in rural France have discovered the joys and follies of cask wine. We briefly entered a state of dismay but reminded ourselves that being judgemental is worse than drinking CASK WINE [ ⚡️🫢😩😳 etc ]. So a slap across the face with a humility spoon enable a return to being perfect again.
However lunch was surprisingly good for the price. Salads and dressings well balanced. Ya know, good cuisine is often like good fashion. It just goes.
The French kiddos had some interesting wooden games to play. Might make some.

Fons is a delightful beautiful quiet and small village.

Cheaper than any restaurant is a fête-ful meal for raising money for ... For 12€ ya get une bierre, deux merguez saucisses, trois salades and a yum experience.

For 0€ you get a delightful expereince of a small town, fairytale houses, rare quiet, a profound sense of peace in the village and a slight resetting of personal values. Yum.

Eventually back home for R & Recuperation. After we returned home Ingrid and John with Steve’s kind loan of a ladder reaped some cerise [cherries]. Yummatic they were. They also looked so shiny almost waxed. We just had them fresh and raw over the dinner period.
Dinner beckoned and we out together some bread, flavoursome cheese, tasty tomatoes and .

Rest, write, reap cherries from the cherry tree. Thank you neighbours for the loan of your ladder.

The cherry conversion process involves inspiration, aspiration, transformation, locomotion, salivation, then finally mastication.
