Hi all,

I don't know the name of the pass but it's between Santiago and Mendoza. I will be hitting there soon and wondered if someone could tell me if there is any great hiking or national parks or cool nature stuff near by.

My other question is I have heard of Autumn in Southern Chile and Argentina. How far "southern" and what time of year? Do you have to go all the way to Patagonia?

Thanks so mucho.

I unfortunately don't know anything about the hiking possibilities, but having driven over that pass by bus, I can say it's absolutely gorgeous there. Very barren (greener on the Chilean side), but with amazing colors and shapes in the mountains all around. Would be awesome if there is good hiking!
