Travel Forums Asia Vaccinations

I am travelling south east Asia with my boyfriend for a few months starting at the end of August. I was wondering what vaccinations we should be getting. We will be going to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia. We already have had the double shot of hepatitis A, so are protected for 20 years. But not sure what other jabs we would need, the doctors have recommended a few we might need like hep b, rabies and malaria tablets. But I wanted to check before our appointment.

For SE Asia I had the typhoid and Hep A jabs; I opted not to have the rabies or Japanese encephalitis jabs but some travellers do have these. It depends which regions you'll be visiting. Similarly, malaria tablets are genereally not needed but will depend on exactly where you're going. Make sure you take precautions against mosquito bites because dengue fever is rife in SE Asia.
