Hi I'm also looking to travel to Thailand for Christmas looking at roughly a month the beach on Christmas Day sounds awesom and the full moon party is where I want to be seeing in the new year!

Hello travelers to Thailand,
Thailand has just imposed strict rules for those with tourists visas or tourist stamp on entry. These are only good for 60 and 30 days. You are no longer allowed to leave the Kingdom and reenter with new visa or entrance stamp. You will denied re-entry. If you would like to stay longer in Thailand you will need a non-immigrant "o" multiple entry visa.

First of all, i would like to thank u Tash for such AD and would like to thank all guys and girls whom added their ideas and plans in here.
Secondly, i am also going to be in Thailand (SOLO) next December 2014 and i already put together my travel plan from A-Z including purchasing flying tickets, hotels, etc. as follows:

Landing in Bangkok on December 1st early morning
Flying to Koh Samui and will be landed around noon time in the same day (1st dec.)
Getting transportation from samui airport to big budha peir immediatly to catch 1300 hours Haad Rin Queen boat to Kho Phangan.
Reaching my hotel in Kho Phangan araound afternoon time and start my Paradise time
Will be staying in Phangan 7 nights including full moon party on the 6th of December
Leaving phangan on the 8th of December to Samui and continue my paradise time on another paradise island
My plan is flexible in one thing: amount of nights in phangan can be more or less and samui too.
Finally, u r moreeee than welcome to join me / meet me / have a drink / etc etc. at any time from 1st of December on Phangan or on Samui. It will be my honor and pleasure. u can write to me in here a message and i will answer u back or u may leave ur e-mail, face book, or twitter accounts and i will get in touch with u soooon

Hi everyone! We will be in Thailand from 11th Dec to mid-late Jan and not sure where to spend xmas! We want to be on a beach probably an island somewhere but Samui/Phangan look really rainy compared to Krabi etc... what are peoples plans? Also not sure whether to stay on the beach for New Year or head up to Bangkok for NY in the city (being from a sleepy village in Devon, UK, Ive never sene a proper big new year!) Anyone with plans, let me know!! Ami
