For organizing a trip, I like Tripit. Your tickets, hotel, events, and reservations can all go in there. It is easy to e-mail an itinerary from the app to another person. I have it set up so all of my tickets go directly there and I have a trip. Then I forward my hotel or other things to it and it is entered automatically. For car rentals it gives you the ability to pull up where to return the vehicle.

Google Maps is all I need. It gives all the options for getting from one place to another, and you can use it offline too (just search your route before you go wifi-less).

Another good app for travel when you have to keep track of receipts is Expensify. With Expensify you take a picture of the receipt and it puts it into a form, sometimes being able to read the receipt enough to qualify it. If you have to turn it into someone, that person can be a part of your account and it will send a daily report of your expenses for your trip. No more paper receipts to hang onto...all in your phone.

I agree. And I actually use it on a daily basis. Great pick!
