Hey anyone got that new book by Lonely Planet on Cycling New Zealand? How about some advise from a local on the viability of some of these routes?

Final Note: Anyone actually interested in DOING IT? Let's start planning and get up to date with each other's training progress.

My parents cycled the length of the North & South Islands a few years back. They had both just turned 60 and the trip took then approximately three months.
