working holiday to Oz februrary 2016, advice please!

I booked my flights yesterday stopping off in Vietnam, then land in Sydney Jan 18th. I've booked on to UltimateOz for my first week and they include the tax, medicare bits

im thinking i'll sort my visa out myself as it seems pretty simple but i'm definitely going to book with one of them intro groups, just because this is way out of my comfort zone so its nice to know i'll get to meet people once i get there! its a toss up between bunac and ultimate oz. cost wise, bunac comes out at £200 more but that does include the group flight. hmmm

Yeh that's why I wanted to book a group flight as well, but I'm hoping that once ur in a hostel it'll be pretty easy to meet people hopefully? Also Im impatient to get it booked so then I've got a definite date to save towards

i hope so! i'm so shy and awkward around new people though. i just feel it'll be easier to make friends on a plane (cos they're stuck with me ahah) so unless i meet anybody else who wants to do the same thing and grab a flight together, i think i'm set on doing the group flight. I can't book anything until june time anyway so not fussed they havent released their jan flight times yet x

its terrifying!! going to australia is literally everything i hate rolled into one (flying, doing this alone...) but at the same time its really liberating that i've finally reached the point that i think "i can do this!" hopefully we can all meet up out there if we're arriving at a similar time

I have a friend who went to Oz on her own and she's quite shy and she made friends easy enough so I hold out hope for us haha! I think u guys are the first I've seen that'll be going around the same time as me so we'll all have to meet up for a drink once there anywho I'm gonna price it all up later and decide what I'm doing and either bite the bullet and do it or be patient and wait for a group flight
